The Bullet
A 1958 Cessna 310B
The Story
In 1998 Brant Aero acquired the contents of a hangar in Smith's Falls, which included a vintage, polished-aluminum Cessna 310, a mere ten serial numbers away from Songbird, the one made famous by the old TV show "Sky King".
Since then it's been a crazy ride.
Panel

The panel in The Bullet was completely redone around 2000 with the latest avionics to use as a demonstration platform. Since then, we've upgraded the GPS, entertainment, and noise reduction systems at various points to keep up with the latest and greatest.

The Bullet only has a tiny amount of paint on it, to accent the tip tanks with blue, which compliments the custom blue-tinted windows we installed. We make sure it gets polished about once every year. Get your shades on!
Outside in the Sun

We often receive compliments from air traffic controllers and pilots (as we accidentally blind them from the sun's reflection) across Canada and the US.
Interior

The interior of The Bullet is outfitted with leather. The headrests have QuietFlite active noise reduction speakers embedded in them, and the seatbacks have embedded flatscreen entertainment systems.

Our partners at Tom's Upholstery in Brantford did the interior.
Maintenance Project

"Pimping our ride" would not have been complete without some engine and airframe mods. The Bullet had chronic bladder problems, with fuel leaking out of the tiptanks. After searching high and low and trying a few different custom solutions--Cessna no longer makes tip tank bladders for the 310B--we finally sealed the deal. We've also overhauled both engines and installed engine monitor probes for the GEM system up front. The heating system has been replaced, and the door has also been refitted so it shuts nicely and seals well.
The Celebrity Aircraft
During the filming of Where the Truth Lies at the Brantford Airport, Atom Egoyan was so impressed with the Bullet that he insisted it be included in the film!
Our Adventures
From Florida to Tuktoyaktuk, HDK has been all over Canada and the US.
