Aviation Software

We're not exactly a software company per se, but experience with standard aviation software packages has lead us to design and code some of our own components in-house. If you run a smaller, more specialized shop like ours, you may find that your software isn't as tailored to your operation as you'd like it to be.

Specifically, if you happen to be running TotalFBO, you may be interested in our stockroom add-on, PartTake, which makes it easy to sign out parts from your stockroom while more than satisfying Transport Canada's and the FAA's requirements for parts traceability.

Many people who watch us use PartTake in the stockroom when they come to pick up parts are impressed by its ease-of-use, and want something similar for their shop. Unfortunately, unless you're running TotalFBO, PartTake won't work for you. Although we could write a standalone program that worked similarly, the fact is, most of PartTake's ease-of-use is a byproduct of how integrated TotalFBO is, with respect to its inventory, shop orders, and time-clock entry systems. Unless your business already keeps track of shop orders and inventory in some kind of computer system, it frankly may be more infrastructure than is appropriate--i.e., you may find it more trouble than it's worth to switch over--especially if your shop only has two or three people.
